The Mecca of Pickleball

Social share

The Villages is a dynamic recreation organization is located in Sumter County, Florida, sandwiched between the east and west coast. With over 200 courts available to play on and tournaments cranking all year-round, this retirement living community can be considered the mecca for pickleball.

Although there are other amenities offered like golf, swimming, tennis, corn toss, and bocce, pickleball seems to be at the heart of these residences. Over seventy-nine thousand people call The Villages home, so finding people to play with is a matter of showing up! Instructors, clinics, and clubs are not hard to find. This is a very active community that could be worth looking into for those that are transitioning into their better years! There are many USAPA pickleball ambassadors around the area trying to grow the game, so if you want to learn more you can contact them below.
